Write Publish Flourish Restful Writer June Guide
Cultivating a Positive Mindset to Spark Your Christian Writing and Fill You With Joy
This month I want to concentrate on creating a new mindset with my latest writing routine. I know resetting years of my thinking and habits is a challenge. In my life, my challenge stems from new writing routines. No longer can I sit for 6 hours of solid writing and creating. Life is busier with caregiving duties. Other things are going on in my life. But, I don’t have to tell you about my life. You’re interested in becoming a restful writer because of your life!
One aspect of my Restful Writer attitude is making things easy. I planned to get everything ready yesterday for this first publication. But, wouldn’t you know it, we had severe storms in Texas where we live. The storms knocked out our power in the early AM and we didn’t get power until evening.
Rather than postponing, I pushed my ‘easy’ button. Rather than creating a separate, fancy, PDF for you to download, all the content is in the article and your email.
Not only is this easy for me, but it’s also easy for you! There are no extra clicks to save and download anything. You have a copy in your email. You can print it if that’s easier for you.
Each month, the Restful Writer Guide will contain:
A theme bible verse
A devotion
Retreat & Journal prompts
So, let’s get started!
June Monthly Verse
"Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me." (Psalm 51:10, KJV)
Opening Prayer
A prayer to begin.
There is no room for regrets in the creative heart. What was or has passed is gone. Looking back in the small mirror will stunt your vision, and give you a stiff neck.
Look forward and ahead to the now and what will be.
Devotional:
As a Christian author, regardless of your genre, your writing has the magnificent ability to inspire, encourage, and uplift readers. However, the creative process can sometimes feel draining, leaving you feeling stuck or uninspired. Compound the creative process with some of life’s duties, it’s easy to find ourselves bogged down. During these times, it's crucial you intentionally shift your mind towards more positive thoughts and maintain a clean heart, as this can be a wellspring for increased creativity and productivity.
