It’s Monday. I started to post this yesterday evening since I had my intentions written. But, I had already started my “lower my melatonin” bedtime routine. The nasty insomnia monster has tried to rear it’s ugly head again. Thankfully, I have my arsenal of tools I discovered last time…so hopefully I can nip it in the bud! It must have worked because I woke up to morning rays after a full night. Whew!!
One Focus
My One Focus is two this week. I must write the month of social media posts for our church’s Operation Christmas Child awareness. It’s only 6 posts, so it should be easy. Then, my concentration will be writing the children’s chapter book for my grandson. I would like to have the draft finished when he comes to spend a few days with us mid-month.
Find Balance
I am guarding my morning hours because this will be my writing time. This helps to balance my emotions. I know that when I do my important writing first, it helps me feel flourished and fulfilled at the end of the day. I also was so proud of not committing to helping with VBS for two days this week. However, I may still go up there and help. But, I didn’t need that firm YES on my plate now. Remembering that just because a Yes is right and good, doesn’t mean it’s MY yes is so freeing! Thank you, Lord!
Productivity
Very simply, a short list. I don’t need a long detailed list of what needs to be done. I do need a short list to keep it front and center of what is important for this week. A simple path to a flourishing mindset. The simple sticky note list will do!
Flourish
This week I flourish by removing the old mindset of strive and push. This is a continual process. This week I will flourish as I work through my easy list. This week I flourish by enjoying daily small moments of rest time. Thank you Lord, for helping me lean into this new season.
How about you? What are your week intentions?
